San Paolo in Alpe Shelter
The ‘San Paolo in Alpe’ shelter, recently built inside an ancient housing structure, is divided into two parts, one always open and available as an emergency bivouac, the other used as a managed refuge which can be accessed through reservation. The building is located on a plateau which at an altitude of 1.030 m and the surrounding landscape is characterized by open areas used for grazing. Inside the structure there are 8 beds and a lounge with fireplace, table, benches and a small wood storage room. It is required to have sleeping bags and mattresses and to bring necessary supplies of water since there are no utilities, sources for water supply and toilets in the shelter.
