La Strada dei Mandrioli

The road, which from the Savio valley goes up to the Mandrioli pass and connects Romagna with Badia Prataglia, runs along the well-known outcrops of the Marnoso-Arenacea which at the most spectacular point is called “Scalacce”, where it’s observed the rhythmic alternation of yellow-beige sandstones and light gray marls. The road offers numerous view over the upper Savio valley towards the dewlap, Monte Comero and Fumaiolo and the spectacular Nasseto highland.
