18 - Pietrapazza Valley

Poggio alla Lastra – Pietrapazza – M. Carpano – Rio Salso – Poggio alla Lastra

Ring ride recommended for its landscape and historical value. The route follows that of the old mule track “del Bidente” up to the church of Pietrapazza, after which a gentle climb takes us up to the ridge of Monte Carpano, a watershed with the Savio. The return passes through the old – and renovated – hamlet of Rio Salso and for a pleasant final stretch on the path. Three nineteenth-century stone bridges preserve the memory of the viability of the time.
