Sacred Forests - Stop 6: Badia Prataglia – Rimbocchi (VARIANT)

Those who want a shorter route, less "wooded" than the wide tour Mandrioli-Serra but more direct, can opt for the following itinerary. The route can be shortened by staying at the Rifugio Casa Santicchio: the 45 minutes that separate us from Rimbocchi can be to traveled during the next day’s stage, which won’t be too long regardless.
From Badia Prataglia (835 m), you can descend south-east towards Poggio della Cesta (1113 m) to reach the small village of Frassineta (866 m), preceded by the tiny oratory dated 1876 facing the beautiful Romanesque church with a monumental horse-chestnut on the parvise.
From here you can continue towards Poggio della Forca (876 m) where you can reach the few but lovely houses of Rimbocchi, passing the Rifugio Cà Santicchio.
