Castagno is the birthplace of the painter Andrea del Castagno, a great Florentine Renaissance artist and a permanent exhibition in the Park Visitor Center describes his work. The landscape around the ancient town is characterized by extensive and evocative \u201cchestnut woods\u201d, woods of centuries-old chestnut trees cultivated for the production of
