Located in Ciliegeta (1380 m a.s.l.), south of the summit of Monte Falterona and a few hundred meters from the Capo D\u2019Arno source, it is geographically the central point of connection between the Tuscan and Emilian Apennines. In the 6th century a.C. the Etruscans considered Monte Falterona sacred and therefore threw their offerings in the lake of Ciliegeta, near the sources of the Arno river.
