The tower dominates the wooded valley of the Archiano stream, which descends from the Passo dei Mandrioli to Bibbiena. The origin of Serravalle is to be found in its dominant position and its proximity to the crossroads between Badia Prataglia and Camaldoli. The old castle was to serve as a sentry. In 1305 Serravalle was further fortified and equipped with a formwork and tower.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"wm_gallery\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div
